Elephant in the room

Rotherham council has been dominated for over 40 years by the same political party and its socialist left wing ideology. They are no doubt very proud of this in Rotherham. Hardly surprising then that for at least the last decade its senior elected members have, unopposed, got away with bullying and intimidation on an industrial scale to silence the whistleblowers and protect their own grotesque interests - most importantly getting themselves and their party re-elected.

In addition to the wholesale cover up by the council of the rampant grooming, abusing and raping of Rotherhams young girls by gangs of Pakistani men, the Labour MP at the time it was all happening, Denis MacShane  was otherwise engaged in Europe raking in fraudulent and corrupt expenses - remember this ? click here

MacShanes successor, Labour obviously, rightly declares that the people of Rotherham have been let down - surely the understatement of the year already. But let down by who you might well ask.

Not a single person within the Labour movement will dare to comment on its own elected representatives and their malevolent institutionalised culture of left wing bullshit allowed to thrive within the departments tasked with protecting the most vulnerable people in society.

The people of Rotherham will get a chance to elect another council and will without any doubt vote for more of the same.

White van man

What next as Labour realise they need the votes of people they previously despised - Harriet Harman "honestly what's not to like about Page 3, it's only flesh . . . respect those saucy chicks"

Wubble

"A large crisis requires a large plan . . . . . . . get me two pencils and a pair of underpants"

"Right listen up Balls - we tell the people that the party faithful are unswervingly 100% full square behind me and I will be standing outside the door of No.10 Downing Street on May 8th next year before you can say . . . . . . . wubble"

I'm a celebrity . . . Get me out of here

Some consolation that the ban on competing in Paralympic sport will last for the duration of the 5 year sentence and in a years time when in all likelihood the remaining 4 years will be served under house arrest - that should at least prevent the inevitable flood of TV reality show offers.

Milibands biggest fan

Len McCluskey gets passionate about Eds' return to socialism, ditching the Blairites and the prospect of the unions holding the country to ransom once again.

Heads I win . . tails you lose

So Miliband is to give trade union members the choice to ‘opt in’ to donating £3 to the Labour Party.

This is revolutionary by all accounts and would reverse a centuries old process whereby union members seemingly had £3 automatically deducted from their wage packet to be siphoned off to Labour HQ and in the process, like it or not, they became an affiliate member of the party. That is unless members exercised their right to ‘opt out’ of doing so.

So why didn’t they?

Call me cynical but I suspect the process of ‘opting out’ in the prehistoric world Len McCluskey et al live in - is deemed act of betrayal akin to crossing a picket line. Life I imagine would be pretty intimidating on the shop floor for those bold enough to express the belief that union membership does not assume unqualified support for the Labour Party. So they didn't. That’s how unions work and how tossers like Red Len command their £100K+ salaries
